Mr. Jay J. Levin was President and Chief Executive Officer of PPOM, a Michigan-based, health care network management company serving more than one million individuals in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Kentucky. As a founding partner, he played key roles in acquisitions, marketing, provider network development and operations. He was also central to the negotiation and sale of a major portion of PPOM to the Texas Pacific Group (TPG) and the subsequent sale of the balance of the company to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
Mr. Levin also provided executive leadership to two other TPG portfolio companies. As President/COO for Magellan Health Services, which provides managed behavioral health, wellness and employee assistance program services to nearly 60 million members, he helped navigate the organization through bankruptcy. Among his achievements was cutting operating costs by more than $50 million in four months while stabilizing customer relations and broadening the marketing base. As Executive Vice President of marketing, e-commerce and strategy for Oxford Health Plans Inc., a provider of health plans to employers and individuals in the New York metropolitan area, he assisted in turning the company around by strengthening its corporate brand while introducing new products and services and new business partnerships to better serve existing members, providers, employer groups and brokers.
Currently, Mr. Levin is an investor and healthcare consultant to healthcare organizations, investment banking and private equity firms in their healthcare related ventures.
Mr. Levin is actively involved in numerous community and corporate activities. He served on the boards of PPOM, Equity Healthcare (Chairman), Novis Pharmaceuticals, LLC., Magellan Behavioral Health and was a member of The Corporate Advisory Board of The Ross School of Business, his alma mater. He currently serves on the boards of HealthHelp, LLC, Vibes Interactive LLC, Vacation Store Builder LLC., VacayStay Connect, and The Michigan/Israel Business Bridge. Additionally, he was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to, The Board of The Lower Florida Keys Hospital District Board, where he serves as Chairman.
