What Do I Need for Homes & Villas by Marriott
Homes and Villas by Marriott has become an extremely popular program allowing the 100+ Million Marriott Bonvoy members to use their points to book vacation rental homes. They also incentivize travelers to earn points by booking homes through their program.
The big question is, what do I need to become eligible for their program?
Your Property Management Company will need the following
At least one bedroom – no studio apartments.
Instantly bookable or bookable with 24-hour confirmation on certain luxury products.
Minimum 3-night stay.
24/7 guest support.
In-person welcome, or self-check-in.
Premium quality linens and bathroom amenities.
Fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities with home essentials provided, like cooking and cleaning products.
High-speed internet connection.
A premium or luxury design aesthetic.
Professionally cleaned and in good condition.
Fire safety equipment, including smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Hyatt Homes & HideAways
Hyatt Homes & HideAways goal is to have differentiated products from their hotels that don’t directly compete with their Hotels.
They require properties to be 2 Bedrooms and up, be 2 Miles away from the nearest Hyatt, and an average of $300 a night inclusive of all fees. We will help run the analysis with Hyatt to see which properties qualify and get your listings live.
GDS or Global Distribution Systems
In order to be eligible for a GDS you just need to have multiple units or two rooms that could be published to the GDS. They will not accept single units but if you have multiple units at the same address we can cluster these and merchandise them as one hotel on the GDS.
Capital One
Nearly every property can get onto the Capital One System but luxury properties have the ability to get into their luxury card member program. This requires having high end homes with concierge services or an activity credit that can be bundled in with the reservation. If you don’t offer this we partner with activity providers that could make you eligible for this program.
